Founded in honor of Angela Hallam, is a sanctuary for the lost and forgotten children of Guatemala. Situated in the mountains just outside of Chimaltenango, this site is in the process of being constructed and will eventually house approximately 300 children in family-style housing. The setting of only 10 children and house parents in each building will give the children more individual care. With the facilities that we currently have completed we have been able to rescue over 60 children from the streets of Guatemala and introduce them to the God who loves them and has a plan for their lives. James 1:27 and Isaiah 1:17 call us as Christians to do what the Lord calls “pure,” to defend the fatherless. A record number of people from several continents have come to help here at Casa Angelina. They have blessed the orphanage with their love and skills in everything from building playground equipment and doing dental clinics to performing dramas and blessing the local village.
Casa Angelina truly defines the word rescued. Children that have been through unbelievable torment and pain that they never deserved find themselves in a place full of unconditional love, indescribable peace, and absolute joy. Casa Angelina is a small piece of heaven on earth doing amazing things for the kingdom of God. This is an orphanage where children are able to develop their three part being: spirit, soul, and body. These children go to a private school everyday where they are educated with excellence, they have recess everyday where they have the opportunity to be physically active and have fun, and they have classes they attend everyday where they learn more about the God that saved them for their misery. The bible says in James 1:27 that pure and true religion is this: to take care of widows and orphans in times of need. Being at Casa Angelina it is beautiful to see people involved in pure and true religion. There is nothing more amazing in life than that.
